War update: 130 clashes on front line over past day, more than half of them in Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors
Over the previous day, February 22, 130 combat engagements between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders were recorded.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook regarding the situation as of 08:00 on Monday, February 23.
The enemy launched two missile strikes using 51 missiles and carried out 95 airstrikes, dropping 244 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the invaders deployed 8,990 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,331 attacks on positions, including 78 using multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian army struck with guided bombs in the areas of Pokrovske, Prosiana, and Rivne in Dnipropetrovsk region; Rizdvianets, Kopani, Dolynka, Tersianka, Zirnytsia, Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Novomykolaivka, Samiilivka, Liubytske, Tavriiske, Komyshuvakha, Veselianka, Zelene, Rozivka, Barvinivka, and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck five areas of concentration of personnel, four UAV control points, an artillery system, a communications hub, an air defense asset, and one other important target of the Russian invaders.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Defense Forces repelled one attack. The enemy carried out five airstrikes, dropping 12 guided bombs, and conducted 83 shellings, nine of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched one assault near Dvorichanske.
In the Kupiansk sector, there was one Russian attack. The Defense Forces repelled assault actions toward Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked six times, attempting to advance near Drobyshcheve and toward Novoserhiivka, Oleksandrivka, and Stavky.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance near Platonivka, Riznykivka, and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russians attempted to advance once near Vasiukivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 15 attacks near Pleshchiivka and Sofiivka and toward Illinivka, Kostiantynivka, and Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 26 assault and offensive actions by the Russian army near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Filiia, and toward Bilytske, Hryshyne, and Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked six times near Stepove, Kalynivske, Ternove, and toward Nove Zaporizhzhia.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops attempted to advance 27 times near Huliaipole and toward Zelene, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, and Olenokostiantynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks near Prymorske and Stepove.
In the Prydniprovske sector, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the formation of offensive groupings by the Russian army were detected.
As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to February 23, 2026, amount to approximately 1,260,500 personnel.
