War update: 130 clashes on front line, Ukrainian forces neutralize over 80 occupiers in Pokrovsk sector
Over the course of February 20, there were 130 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian invaders. In particular, in the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy attempted 22 attacks.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 22:00 on Friday, February 20, Ukrinform reports.
"In total, since the beginning of this day, there have been 130 combat clashes… The enemy launched one missile strike using one missile and 65 air strikes, dropping 161 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy used 5,115 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,249 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions," the statement reads.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, two combat clashes took place today. The enemy carried out two air strikes, dropping three guided bombs, and conducted 57 shelling attacks on our positions and populated areas, including twice with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions four times near Starytsia, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, and Kruhle.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked seven times near Pishchane and toward Novoosynove and Kurylivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks near Zarichne and toward Drobysheve, Lyman, and Stavky. Two clashes are still underway.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy attempted eight times to advance near Yampil, Zakitne, Platonivka, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 15 assaults near Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Berestok, and Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 22 attacks, attempting to advance near Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward Novooleksandrivka and Kucheriv Yar. Two attempts to improve their tactical position are still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, in this sector Ukrainian troops eliminated 48 occupiers and wounded 33. They destroyed 96 unmanned aerial vehicles, four vehicles, three pieces of special equipment, five quad bikes, two artillery systems, two personnel shelters, and a UAV control point. One armored combat vehicle, 11 vehicles, two artillery systems, and 70 enemy personnel shelters were also damaged.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces attempted twice to improve their position near Stepove. Velykomykhailivka was hit by guided aerial bombs.
In the Huliaipole sector, 18 enemy attacks took place near Huliaipole and Zahirne and toward Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, and Sviatopetrivka. Two attacks are ongoing. Enemy air strikes hit Verkhnia Tersa, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Liubytske, and Kopani.
In the Orikhiv sector, according to updated information, the enemy attacked twice near Stepove and Mali Shcherbaky. Air strikes hit Komyshuvakha and Yuliivka.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian units repelled three enemy attacks toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No significant changes were recorded in other sectors, the General Staff summarized.
As reported, the total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to February 20, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,257,880 personnel.
