Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 970 over past day
The total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to February 20, 2026, amount to approximately 1,257,880 personnel, including 970 troops killed and wounded over the past day.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Russia’s total losses also include: 11,684 (+2) tanks, 24,060 (+6) armored combat vehicles, 37,387 (+3) artillery systems, 1,649 (+0) multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 1,303 (+1) air defense systems, 435 (+0) aircraft, 347 (+0) helicopters, 138,881 (+551) operational-tactical UAVs, 4,314 (+0) cruise missiles, 29 (+0) warships / boats, 2 (+0) submarines, 79,112 (+76) vehicles and fuel tankers, 4,073 (+1) pieces of special equipment.
The data are being clarified.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, as of 22:00 on February 19, 209 combat engagements had taken place between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops. The fiercest fighting was in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy lost nearly 70 personnel and several pieces of military equipment.
