Young female medics “Kara” and “Laiza” killed on Zaporizhzhia front

Two young women, sisters-in-arms known by the call signs “Kara” and “Laiza,” were killed on the Zaporizhzhia front.

This was reported on Facebook by Serhii Volkov, commander of the ground robotic systems company of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, according to Ukrinform.

“Kara and Laiza have fallen. Two sisters-in-arms, two close friends, killed together by an enemy drone. Two young women. Difficult lives. Real work. The Zaporizhzhia front,” he wrote.

Volkov noted that the defenders were evacuating the wounded, studying, taking on heavy responsibilities, and helping the front line no less effectively than anyone else.

“Kara survived the occupation of the Kherson region, filtration, abuse by the bastards, Taganrog. And still she joined the ranks to defend Ukraine to her last breath.

“Laiza was my first ‘child’ under the 18–24 contract. She mastered ground robotic systems. Quiet, bright, strong. Genuine.

“Today we buried them. This is not the end – the fight continues, and evil will be punished. Honor and eternal memory, my girls,” the company commander said.
