Russian troops shell 11 settlements in Sumy region, causing destruction

Over the past day, Russian troops carried out more than 20 shelling attacks on 11 settlements in the Sumy region, causing damage and destruction to infrastructure.

According to Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram.

“During the day, from the morning of February 14 to the morning of February 15, 2026, Russian troops carried out nearly 20 attacks on 11 settlements in 9 territorial communities of the region,” the report said.

Most attacks were reported in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The enemy also targeted settlements in the Myropil, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Znob-Novhorod, Shostka, Seredyna-Buda, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Velyka Pysarivka communities.

It is noted that Russian troops used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.

As a result of the strikes, a private house was damaged in the Velyka Pysarivka community, a non-residential building was damaged in the Shostka community, and a private residential building was destroyed in the Seredyna-Buda community.

There were no casualties among civilians as a result of Russian shelling of the region during the day. However, a 56-year-old woman from the Myropil community, who was injured on February 6 as a result of an enemy UAV attack, sought medical assistance.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 13, Russian troops carried out more than 50 shellings of the Sumy region, killing one woman and injuring two men and a teenager.
