Houses and railway infrastructure damaged in Sumy region by shelling, people injured

Russian troops struck 21 settlements in the Sumy region over the past day, injuring two men.

According to Ukrinform, the National Police of Ukraine reported this.

Communities in the Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts came under fire.

Police investigative teams and bomb disposal experts worked at the sites of the strikes.

In the Bilopillia community, two men aged 38 and 58 were injured. A car was damaged.

In the Sumy city community, a private house, three apartment buildings, a one-story building, and a car were damaged.

In the Shostka community, railway infrastructure facilities were damaged.

In the Sumy, Konotop, Bilopillia, Krolevets, Shalyhyne, and Velyka Pysarivka communities, private homes and cars were damaged.

In the Seredyna Buda community, an administrative building and windows in an apartment building were damaged.

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes) for each of the documented incidents.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 9, a Russian drone hit a locomotive in Konotop that was to be attached to a passenger train. The track was damaged near the Tereshchenska station in the Sumy region. Traffic was temporarily restricted for repairs.
