DIU Ghost unit strikes six Russian air defense targets in January

In January of this year, soldiers from the Ghost Special Forces Unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine struck six Russian air defense targets.

According to Ukrinform, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"This time, the military intelligence officers accurately targeted the following systems: the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system, the Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile system, the Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system, along with a transport and loading vehicle, the RLM-ME from the Nebo-M radar complex, and the Protivnik-GE radar," the report said.

As reported by Ukrinform, in January 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of successful strikes on a complex of hangar-type buildings where pre-launch preparation of medium-range intercontinental ballistic missiles takes place at the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.
