Chemical plant attacked in Tver region, Russian Federation
The Redkinsky Experimental Plant, which specializes in the production of chemical components for military programs, was attacked in the Tver region of the Russian Federation.
According to Ukrinform, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, reported this on Telegram.
“The Redkinsky Experimental Plant in the Tver region was attacked. It is a chemical enterprise that has been operating in the defense industry since Soviet times. The plant specializes in the experimental and small-scale production of special chemical components used in military programs,” Kovalenko said.
According to him, the enterprise is part of the Russian Federation's military-industrial complex supply chain because it produces dual-use and military chemical materials.
“The products are used for fuel components, explosives, initiators, and technological mixtures used by defense enterprises. The plant meets the special needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense for new Russian weapons,” added Kovalenko.
As reported by Ukrinform, during January 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of successful strikes with Flamingo missiles on the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Russian Federation.
