Ukrainian forces eliminate 30,000 invaders in January – Zelensky
In the first month of 2026, Ukrainian troops neutralized 30,000 Russian invaders. This figure includes those killed and seriously wounded.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his evening video address, Ukrinform reports.
“I also want to commend our military – they know exactly who I mean – for their ability to reach even such targets as an ‘Oreshnik’ launch site. Our ‘Flamingos’ did their job,” Zelensky said.
The President noted that the results achieved by Ukrainian units on the frontline are also significant.
“Despite extremely unfavorable weather, severe cold, and many other challenges, in January they managed to maintain the level of losses inflicted on the occupier. December recorded 35,000 killed and severely wounded occupiers; January – 30,000,” Zelensky said.
The President thanked the service members who are holding Ukrainian positions, those fighting for the sake of Ukrainians, and everyone working for the state and its people.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky approved new operations by the Security Service of Ukraine against the aggressor state.
