Partisans disrupt communications infrastructure near St. Petersburg
Agents of the ATESH partisan movement carried out a sabotage operation in one of the districts near St. Petersburg, where several key military-industrial facilities are concentrated, destroying a technical module of a telecommunications tower.
According to Ukrinform, ATESH reported this on Telegram.
The movement said the incident occurred in an area that hosts JSC Radio-Electronics Repair Plant Luch, an institute of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), as well as units and training centers linked to the Navy and the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate.
In addition, JSC Novosibirsk Cartridge Plant and a branch of the Kometa Corporation, a research and production center working for Russia's defense industry, are located nearby.
Atesh noted that the concentration of such facilities makes this area a critically important element of Russia's military and security infrastructure.
The group said that disrupting communications at such a hub directly affects data transmission, command and control, and coordination, even far from the front line.
The movement stressed that the deep rear is not a guarantee of safety.
