Russians strike Kharkiv with drones and missiles, casualties reported

Russian forces are carrying out a combined strike on Kharkiv using unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles.

Explosions in the city have been reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, Russian forces carried out at least two missile strikes on the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv.

"Another wave of enemy strikes on Kharkiv and its suburbs. Explosions can be heard. Information is being clarified," said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

Earlier, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of a high-speed aerial target over the Kharkiv region heading south.

Soon after, Syniehubov reported that as a result of the enemy shelling in Kharkiv, two people were injured: a 27-year-old and a 58-year-old man, who are currently receiving medical assistance.

Earlier, an air raid alert had been declared in the city due to the threat of Russian drones.
