In the Donetsk region, a family with three children who had independently returned home from evacuation was hit by an airstrike: the father and an adult son were killed, while the mother and two underage children were injured.

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, stated this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the Russians shelled Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, dropping a glide bomb directly on a residential building where a family of five was staying: a married couple and three children.

"The father and the adult son were killed, while the mother, a 16-year-old daughter, and an 11-year-old son were injured. This family was evacuated to the Odesa region in November last year, but in December they returned on their own to the frontline town of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka," Filashkin wrote.

He noted that alongside condolences there is also outrage, as the parents consciously decided to leave a region far from the front and bring their children back under enemy bombs.

The Donetsk region police added that at around 00:17 the occupiers dropped a "FAB-250" gide bomb on the residential building. "As a result of the attack, a 44-year-old man and his 23-year-old son were killed. A 42-year-old mother and two children, a 16-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, were injured," law enforcement officials clarified. The police documented the war crime.

According to the Donetsk region prosecutor's office, the injured family members were diagnosed with fractures, blast injuries, and shrapnel wounds. The boy is in serious condition. The injured were hospitalized, and the household was completely destroyed.
