War update: 303 clashes on front line, Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, and Lyman sectors most active
There have been 303 combat engagements on the front line, more than one third of them on the Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, and Lyman sectors.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, updating the situation as of 22:00 on January 31, 2026.
"Since the beginning of the day, 303 combat engagements have taken place. The enemy carried out 38 air strikes, dropping 119 glide bombs. In addition, it used 2,510 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,437 shelling attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops," the statement says.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian soldiers repelled one enemy attack today. The enemy carried out 72 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy assaulted the positions of our units in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia, Prylipka, and toward the settlements of Hrafske, Vilcha, Vovchanski Khutory, Kolodiazne, and Fyholivka. Ukrainian units repelled 19 attacks, while five combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks toward Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Kurylivka, Novoosynove, Novoplatonivka, and Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 23 attacks in the areas of Drobysheve, Serednie, Novoselivka, Zarichne, and toward Stavky, Novoserhiivka, Shyikivka, Stepove, and Dibrova. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, our defenders repelled eight attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of Yampil, Dronivka, and toward Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Platonivka, Riznykivka. Four engagements remain unfinished.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy carried out four attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Orikhovo-Vasylivka; three engagements are ongoing.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers carried out 38 assaults on the positions of our defenders near Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Kleban-Byk, and toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Mykolaipillia, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 68 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance near Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Hryshyne, Novopidhordodne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Ivanivka. Fighting is still ongoing in some locations.
According to preliminary estimates, in this sector Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 106 occupiers and wounded 26 others; destroyed 32 unmanned aerial vehicles and seven vehicles, and also hit three tanks, six additional vehicles, and ten enemy personnel shelters.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian units stopped nine enemy attacks in the area of Verbove and toward Oleksandrohrad, Danylivka, Vyshneve, and Nove Zaporizhzhia. The settlements of Prosiana, Novoselivka, and Malomykhailivka were hit by glide bomb strikes.
In the Huliaipole sector, 42 enemy attacks took place in the areas of Huliaipole, Myrne, Solodke, and toward Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Zelene, and Staroukrainka. Fighting continues in some locations. Enemy aviation struck the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Zaliznychne, and Ternuvate.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders three times in the areas of Stepnohirsk and Plavni. Enemy aviation struck the settlements of Shevchenkivske, Vilniansk, and Komyshuvakha.
No offensive actions by the enemy were recorded on the Prydniprovske sector.
As Ukrinform reported, the Defense Forces repelled an assault on Hryshyne near Pokrovsk.
