Statements by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, claiming alleged "street fighting" and "clearing operations" in the village of Kutkivka, Kharkiv region, do not correspond to reality.

The 16th Army Corps, within whose area of responsibility the settlement is located, stated this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The information about the 'capture' of Kutkivka is another element of the enemy’s information and psychological operations and has nothing to do with the real situation," the military stated.

It is emphasized that Kutkivka remains under the full control of Ukraine's Defense Forces, and positions have not been lost.

Russian occupying forces are attempting to infiltrate in small groups; however, defenders promptly detect these actions and effectively destroy the enemy either on the approaches to the settlement or during attempts to hide in damaged buildings.
