War update: 138 battles on front line over past day, Pokrovsk sector remains most active
Over the previous day, January 25, 138 combat engagements between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, updating on the situation as of 08:00 on Monday, January 26.
The enemy carried out 89 airstrikes, dropping 237 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the Russians conducted 3,681 shelling attacks, including 63 using multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 7,789 kamikaze drones.
The Russian army carried out airstrikes on the areas of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, Havrylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Zelene, Rizdvianka, Nove Pole, Zirnytsia, Yurkivka, and Pavlivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Aircraft, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four areas of concentration of enemy personnel and four other important targets of the Russian invaders.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian soldiers repelled one attack. The invaders carried out one airstrike using three guided aerial bombs and conducted 80 shelling attacks.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attempted nine times to break through defensive lines in the areas of Zelene, Vovchansk, Prylipka, Starytsia, and toward Izbytske.
In the Kupiansk sector, seven enemy attacks occurred. The Defense Forces repelled assault actions toward Pishchane and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy carried out 12 attacks, attempting to break into defenses in the areas of Serhiivka, Drobysheve, Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, and Zarichne.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped two attempts by Russian forces to advance near Platonivka and toward Yampil.
In the Kramatorsk sector, two combat engagements were recorded near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and toward Bondarne.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out nine attacks near Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, and toward Kostiantynivka and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 41 assault actions by the Russian army near Shakhove, Dorozhnie, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward Filiia and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out seven attacks in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Verbove, Krasnohirske, and toward Nove Zaporizhzhia.
In the Huliaipole sector, 14 Russian attacks occurred in the areas of Solodke, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, and toward Varvarivka, Zelene, and Pryluky. In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled two Russian attacks near Plavni and Stepove.
In the Orikhiv sector, two Russian attacks occurred in the areas of Plavni and Stepove.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
As Ukrinform reported, total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022 to January 26, 2026, amount to approximately 1,235,060 personnel.
