Russian drone attack kills four people, including one child, in Cherkaske, Donetsk region

In the settlement of Cherkaske in Kramatorsk district, four people were killed as a result of an attack by Russian Geran-2 drones on the evening of January 22, including a five-year-old child, and five more people were injured.

According to Ukrinform, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office stated this on Telegram.

The attack, which occurred at 22:50 on Thursday, struck a private residential area.

As a result of hits on residential buildings, a 32-year-old man and his five-year-old son were killed, along with two of their neighbors.

In addition, the mother of the deceased boy and three girls aged 12, 14, and 16 sustained injuries. A 34-year-old local woman was also wounded. At the time of the strike, the victims were inside their homes.

The injured were diagnosed with blast injuries, burns, and abrasions. Doctors assess their condition as serious and of moderate severity. Two households were destroyed.

According to the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, one more person was injured in Druzhkivka over the past day.

The total number of victims caused by the Russians in the Donetsk region (3,986 killed and 8,813 injured) is given without taking into account Mariupol and Volnovakha.

As Ukrinform reported, on January 20 the Russian army dropped six glide bombs on Druzhkivka, injuring four civilians.
