Russians attempting to advance in Vovchansk, nearby settlements – military

In Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, and nearby settlements, constant attempts by Russian forces to advance are being recorded, with fighting continuing directly inside the town.

This was reported on television by Viktor Trehubov, Head of the Communications Department of the Joint Forces Grouping, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In Vovchansk, there are constant attempts by the Russians to advance, and this is not only about the town itself, although fighting is currently taking place there,” Trehubov said.

According to him, Russian units are also actively trying to operate on the flanks and in nearby settlements.

“The Russians are actively pushing across the river to the south, but even more so it is about attempts to bypass Vilcha, Vovchanski Khutory, and adjacent settlements,” he specified.

Trehubov emphasized that the situation is complicated by weather conditions.

“The rivers have already frozen, so they are no longer the kind of natural barrier they used to be, and for small infantry groups this is now practically not a problem,” he added.
