Syrskyi announces new offensive operations by AFU

Ukraine will carry out offensive operations to maintain operational initiative.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this in an interview with LB.ua, as reported by Ukrinform.

“We will conduct a strategic defensive operation, but we understand that victory cannot be achieved by defense alone. Therefore, we will carry out offensive operations, fighting to maintain the operational initiative,” Syrskyi said.

He noted that this forces the enemy to deploy and redeploy significant human resources, weapons, and ammunition in order to counter Ukraine’s active operations.
