Russians drop guided aerial bomb in Bilopillia center: One dead, four wounded
A civilian was killed, and four people were injured in Bilopillia, Sumy region, as a result of a Russian air strike this morning.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“On January 15, 2026, at around 10:15 a.m., the occupiers dropped, according to preliminary data, a guided aerial bomb on the central part of the city of Bilopillia in the Sumy district. As a result of the attack by the occupiers, a 35-year-old resident was killed. Four more people were injured,” the report said.
According to the prosecutor's office, the strike damaged an educational institution, a store, and vehicles.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the grounds of war crimes resulting in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported, seven people, including four children, were wounded in shelling in the Sumy region over the past day.
