Evidence of preparations for yet another war crime by the Russian army in Ukraine has been recorded by intelligence officers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) in a radio interception.

According to Ukrinform, the HUR of the Ministry of Defence reported this on Facebook and published a corresponding audio recording.

In the intercepted conversation of servicemen from the 2nd Battalion of the 237th Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces' 76th Air Assault Division, operating near Pokrovsk, one of the commanders can be heard giving an order to execute Ukrainian prisoners of war.

"Systematic executions and torture of prisoners of war, killings of civilians, and extrajudicial executions of their own servicemen once again prove that war crimes are a conscious and deliberate policy of the aggressor state, Russia," the HUR emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian forces previously executed three captured Ukrainian defenders in the Huliaipole direction.
