Russia loses 1,040 soldiers, two multiple rocket launchers in Ukraine war over past day
Russia suffered approximately 1,214,500 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and January 7, 2026, with 1,040 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,515 (+3) Russian tanks, 23,865 (+2) armored fighting vehicles, 35,857 (+26) artillery systems, 1,595 (+2) multiple rocket launchers, 1,269 anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,137 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 434 warplanes, 347 helicopters, 101,849 (+406) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 73,224 (+122) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,037 (+1) pieces of special equipment.
