Woman killed in Sumy region as result of Russian shelling

A 61-year-old woman was killed in the Myropilia community in Sumy region as a result of a Russian attack

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to the investigation, on January 6, the body of a 61-year-old woman was found in the Myropilia community in Sumy district. According to preliminary data, she died as a result of enemy shelling.

Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the commission of war crimes that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Prosecutors are currently working with other law enforcement agencies to establish the circumstances of the incident.

As reported, between the morning of January 5 and the morning of January 6, the Russian army carried out more than 90 strikes on 29 settlements in 18 territorial communities in the Sumy region.
