Howard Buffett visits Kherson, tours underground hospital, attends children's celebration
Renowned philanthropist Howard Buffett visited Kherson, where he toured one of the underground hospitals and spent time with young residents of the city.
The head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"Howard Buffett, a well-known philanthropist and a friend of Ukraine, visited Kherson. During his visit, he toured one of our underground hospitals, where patients undergo surgeries in safe conditions and then recover there. Howard spoke with them, supported our doctors and patients, and saw the difficult conditions in which the medical system of this frontline city operates today," Shanko wrote.
According to him, a separate and very warm part of the visit was communication with children, made possible thanks to the public organization "United by Love for Children". Howard Buffett visited activity groups attended by young Kherson residents and gave them gifts. He later took part in a children's New Year celebration.
Shanko thanked Howard Buffett for his support of Kherson.
As Ukrinform previously reported, American businessman and philanthropist Howard Buffett, who is described as one of Ukraine's largest private donors, has assured that assistance to the Kherson region will continue.
