Battle for Chasiv Yar continues, enemy concentrates forces under snow cover

In Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces are inflicting losses on Russian troops, who are trying to concentrate forces, taking advantage of the deteriorating weather conditions.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after King Danylo, of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The weather is deteriorating in the city; the enemy is trying to concentrate its infantry under the cover of snow. It is using rocket artillery and motorized transport. Our soldiers are eliminating the enemy: they are hitting assault groups, artillery and transport, take-off points and ground robotic complexes," the military said.

The Defense Forces killed 29 Russian soldiers in a week and wounded another 32.

In addition, 345 Russian UAVs of various types, two artillery systems, seven vehicles, five ground drones, 19 communication antennas, surveillance systems, electronic warfare systems, an automatic grenade launcher, and fortifications were destroyed.

The military emphasized that the battle for Chasiv Yar continues.

As reported by Ukrinform, on January 4, 229 combat clashes between the Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front line. Ukrainian defenders repelled the most attacks in the Huliaipole and Pokrovsk sectors.
