Russian attack on Chernihiv hits homes, causes widespread damage
During a nighttime combined attack by Russian forces on Chernihiv, a private residential house was directly hit and caught a fire. Additional destruction and damage were also recorded across the city.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration.
“A direct hit on a private residential house was recorded, resulting in a fire. As a result of the strike, 15 private homes were also damaged – windows and doors were blown out, fences and gates were damaged,” he said.
In addition, buildings used for utility and warehouse purposes on the premises of a municipal institution were destroyed, as well as an outbuilding belonging to one of the city’s enterprises.
According to Bryzhynskyi, eight garages were destroyed in Chernihiv, while 96 garage units sustained damage.
“There are no fatalities or injuries,” the head of the City Military Administration added.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, in the Kyiv region a multi-storey apartment building and 13 private houses were damaged as a result of a massive Russian attack. One private house was destroyed, and a man was killed.
