Air Defense Forces destroyed 176 of the 205 drones used by Russians to attack Ukraine since the evening of December 31.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the invaders attacked Ukraine with 205 Shahed and Gerbera UCAVs and other types of drones from the following directions: Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russian Federation), Chauda, Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), and temporarily occupied Donetsk. About 130 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, Air Defense Forces shot down/jammed 176 other types of drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Twenty-four UCAVs were recorded hitting 15 locations.
The attack continues, with several enemy drones in the airspace.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of January 1, Russian UAVs attacked critical infrastructure facilities in the Volyn region.
In addition, Russian combat drones attacked Odesa on the night of January 1, causing fires.
In the Rivne region, on the night of January 1, Air Defense Forces destroyed a Russian aerial target.
