Apartment buildings damaged, three children injured in Russian drone attack on Odesa

Russian drones attacked Odesa overnight, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings.

Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Hits on high-rise residential buildings have been recorded in two districts of the city. In one of the buildings, apartments caught fire," he wrote.

According to the official, there are casualties, including children. All necessary assistance is being provided.

"All relevant services are working at the scene. Buildings are being inspected," Lysak added.

According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, enemy attack drones struck residential, logistics, and energy infrastructure in the Odesa region.

"In Odesa, falling debris and direct hits damaged the facades and windows of several apartment buildings. Apartment fires broke out in one of the buildings. Civilian vehicles were damaged by fire. There is information about casualties," he wrote.

Rescue workers, emergency crews, and all relevant services are working at the sites. Residents of the affected buildings are receiving assistance, Kiper said..

Shortly afterward, Lysak specified that four people had been injured, including three children: a 7-month-old infant in moderate condition, a 14-year-old boy in moderate condition, an 8-year-old girl in moderate condition, as well as a 42-year-old man who is in serious condition.
