Russian troops strike Zaporizhzhia: Fire breaks out, one person injured

During the air raid alert in Zaporizhzhia, explosions were heard.

This was reported by a correspondent for Ukrinform.

Prior to that, the Ukrainian Air Force detected the launch of guided aerial bombs toward the Zaporizhzhia region.

“Guided aerial bombs heading for Zaporizhzhia!” the military warned a few minutes later.

An air raid alert was declared in Zaporizhzhia and the region.

Soon after, the head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported: “The enemy has struck Zaporizhzhia.” According to him, an industrial infrastructure facility was damaged. 

“The strike caused a fire,” the official added.

Later, Fedorov reported that a woman had sought medical help and was being taken to the hospital. “According to updated information, a 43-year-old woman sought medical help with a preliminary diagnosis of shrapnel wounds,” he wrote.

As reported, Russian troops are increasing the number of assaults in the Zaporizhzhia region and are trying to take control of the village of Stepnohirsk.
