Russians fail to secure full control of Rodynske, fighting continues – troops
Russian invaders have unsuccessfully attempted to entrench themselves along the railway north of Rodynske, as well as in the city’s western districts. Fighting for the city is ongoing.
This was reported by the Operation Task Force “East” on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The Defense Forces emphasize that the situation in Rodynske is difficult; however, the enemy does not have complete control over the city.
The northern part of Pokrovsk remains under the control of Ukrainian defenders. In the central part of the city, troops are blocking the advance of Russian forces.
The Russian army continues active operations west of Pokrovsk in an attempt to reach the area of Hryshyne. The Defense Forces are blocking all attacks, conducting search-and-assault operations, and eliminating the enemy within urban development.
In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and eliminating invaders on the approaches to the city. To contain Russian forces, the city’s defense has been reinforced with additional personnel and equipment.
Logistics to Myrnohrad remain complicated. The Defense Forces are taking measures to strengthen supply capabilities by expanding logistical corridors to the city.
Overall, over the past day, Ukrainian defenders repelled 86 enemy assaults in the area controlled by Operation Task Force “East”.
On the Pokrovsk sector alone, defenders neutralized 146 Russian servicemen yesterday, about 100 of them irreversibly. They also destroyed 14 enemy drones, two units of automotive transport, and two units of specialized equipment. In addition, defenders successfully struck six other enemy targets: two vehicles, a drone command post, and three personnel shelters.
In general, within the area controlled by the Operation Task Force “East”, the Russian army continues to suffer the most significant losses, with 429 invaders reported to be dead over the past day. Also destroyed were 986 of its UAVs and 74 units of other weapons and military equipment.
The Defense Forces are focusing efforts on eliminating not only enemy infantry but also drone operators. Over the past day, 28 crews of Russian unmanned aerial systems were successfully hit.
Ukrainian missile forces and artillery carried out 1,022 fire missions.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the Pokrovsk sector over the past day, Ukrainian defenders halted 52 assault actions by Russian forces in the areas of Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Filiia, toward Novopavlivka, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Serhiivka, and Vilne.
