Two explosions reported at military unit in Ussuriysk

On the morning of December 24, two explosions occurred in the city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky region of the Russian Federation, at the parking area of military unit No. 19288 — the 80th Vitebsk Red Banner Command Brigade.

This was reported to Ukrinform by a source within the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the source, Russian servicemen from the 80th Command Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had been actively involved in the war of aggression against Ukraine. There are documented cases of war crimes committed by this unit, including executions of civilians in temporarily occupied territories, among them were children.

At present, official Russian sources are in no hurry to provide details of the incident. Instead, Russian media reports refer to the event as an alleged “welding equipment malfunction,” the source noted.

At the same time, eyewitnesses have been publishing photos and videos from the scene, showing a significant presence of police, officers of the Federal Security Service, and firefighting units.

As previously reported, during the night of December 24 in Moscow, on Yeletskaya Street, two officers of Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs were eliminated. They had taken part in the war against Ukraine and were involved in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
