Russians suffer losses during assault near Sotnytskyi Kozachok in Kharkiv region and retreat – military
Russian troops suffered losses during an attempted assault in the area of Sotnytskyi Kozachok in the Kharkiv region and were forced to retreat.
According to Ukrinform, the Joint Forces Task Force reported this on Facebook.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna and Velykyi Burluk sectors, 12 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. Russian forces attacked Vovchansk, near Prylipky and Dvorichanske, and toward Izbytske and Obukhivka.
"In order to build up offensive potential, the enemy attempted to move personnel in the area of Sotnytskyi Kozachok. As a result of fire from our units, the enemy suffered losses and retreated," the Joint Forces Task Force reported.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops made six attempts to break through the defenses toward Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces carried out eight attacks on the Defense Forces’ positions toward Druzhkivka, Stepove, Olhivka, Lyman, Drobysheve, and in the area of Zarichne.
As Ukrinform previously reported, a total of 93 combat engagements have been recorded along the entire front line since the beginning of the day, with Russian forces continuing to concentrate the greatest efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
