Blackout in Odesa region: Artsyz remains without power, “technical solutions” found for other customers
In the Odesa region, following Russia’s massive attack on December 13, power engineers have found technical solutions to restore electricity to the homes of nearly all customers. At the same time, residents of Artsyz have been without electricity for the sixth consecutive day, as a substation in the city has been destroyed.
This was reported on Facebook by DTEK Odesa Electric Grids, according to Ukrinform.
“At present, specialists have found technical solutions to supply electricity to the homes of nearly all customers. However, the equipment is operating at its limit, and temporary repair schemes cannot transmit the full amount of electricity required,” the statement reads.
DTEK noted that, to prevent overloading of power lines and substations, grid restrictions may be implemented in parts of Odesa and the Odesa district, resulting in forced emergency power outages, especially during morning and evening peak consumption hours.
At the same time, according to DTEK, the enemy has almost destroyed a substation in the city of Artsyz. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to residents’ homes. At present, Points of Invincibility and mobile kitchens are operating in the city, where anyone can receive hot meals.
As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of the Russian attack on December 13, more than one million users were left without electricity. The most difficult situation remains in Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
