Russian army loses 1,730 troops, six tanks, 33 artillery systems over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to December 17, 2025 amount to approximately 1,192,350 personnel, including 1,730 in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,427 (+6) Russian tanks, 23,758 (+21) armored fighting vehicles, 35,205 (+33) artillery systems, 1,571 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 1,262 (+1) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 4,073 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 432 warplanes, 347 helicopters, 91,386 (+167) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 2 submarines, 70,361 (+179) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 4,027 (+1) pieces of special equipment.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the front line over the past day, December 16, 278 combat engagements were recorded between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders.
