Russian drone kills cyclist in Sumy region

A resident of the Velyka Pysarivka community in the Sumy region was attacked by a Russian drone while riding a bicycle. As a result of the enemy strike, the 62-year-old man was killed on the spot.

Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Unfortunately, as a result of a targeted enemy strike, a civilian resident of the Velyka Pysarivka community was killed. The 62-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was attacked by an enemy drone. He sustained critical injuries," the statement said.

According to the regional governor, due to the activity of Russian drones in the area, it was impossible to provide assistance promptly, and the man died at the scene.

The official once again urged residents of border areas to make the decision to evacuate.

The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that a pre-trial investigation had been launched into the commission of war crimes (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
