Russians attack Chernihiv region 59 times, people wounded, local council building destroyed

The Russian army shelled the Chernihiv region 59 times over the past day, injuring two people, including a child.

This was reported by Viacheslav Chaus, the Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"In Semenivka, a gas station and a residential building were hit. The owner, a 34-year-old woman, and her 14-year-old son were injured. Fires broke out at the sites of the strikes, which firefighters extinguished," the report said.

In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, houses, farm buildings, and a car were damaged by drone strikes.

In the Kholmy community of the Koriukivka district, four Geran drones hit the building of the local council. The building was destroyed. A church and a house were damaged.

As reported, on December 12, several settlements in the Pryluky district of the Chernihiv region were left without power as a result of a strike by Russian invaders on an energy facility.
