Russia launches massive drone attack on Odesa region, leaving several communities in blackout
Russia carried out a massive attack on Odesa region with strike drones, damaging an energy infrastructure facility and warehouses. Some settlements were left without electricity.
According to Ukrinform, Odesa Regional State Administration head Oleh Kiper reported this on Telegram.
"The enemy launched a massive drone attack on Odesa district. Despite active air defense efforts, an energy infrastructure facility was damaged. Warehouses, an administrative building, and a garage were also hit. Fires broke out on site but were promptly extinguished by emergency services," the statement said.
"Due to the attack, several settlements are temporarily without power. Restoration work is already underway. Critical infrastructure is operating on generators," Kiper added.
The Odesa State Emergency Service confirmed that fires at the energy facilities have been extinguished.
"Psychologists from the emergency service provided assistance to 14 people from nearby homes, including three children. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries," the statement said.
