War update: 165 clashes on frontline, Ukrainian forces eliminate 125 Russian troops in Pokrovsk sector
Ukrainian forces engaged in 165 combat clashes with Russian invaders on December 11, with nearly half of them recorded in the Pokrovsk sector.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this in its update as of 22:00 on December 11.
"Since the start of the day, there have been 165 combat clashes. The enemy carried out one missile strike and 27 airstrikes, used three missiles and dropped 58 guided bombs, launched 2,778 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,510 attacks on our positions and populated areas," the report said.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out five attacks and conducted 110 strikes, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, five clashes took place near the village of Prylipka and in the direction of Izbytske and Okhrimivka. Four clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched one attack on Ukrainian positions near Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops assaulted Ukrainian positions ten times near Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Derylove, Kolodiazi, Zarichne and toward Karmazynivka. Three clashes are still underway.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks today, with Russian units attempting to advance near Dronivka, Serebrianka and Pereizne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, no clashes have been recorded.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy launched 18 assaults today near Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar and toward Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy made 48 attempts to push back Ukrainian units. The highest activity was recorded near Shakhove, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and toward Novopavlivka.
According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian troops in this sector eliminated 125 and wounded 40 Russian soldiers, destroyed six vehicles, eight UAVs, six relay antennas, and struck eight enemy personnel shelters.
In the Oleksandrohrad sector, the enemy carried out 24 attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Sosnivka, Verbove, Pryvillia, Vyshneve, Krasnohirske, Rybne and Pryvilne.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attacks near Huliaipole and in the direction of Dobropillia and Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times near Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Stepnohirsk and toward Prymorske and Novoandriivka.
In the Dnipro River sector, one Russian assault attempt failed.
The General Staff added that no significant changes were recorded in other sectors.
