Air defense forces neutralize 63 of 72 Russian drones

Defense Forces neutralized 63 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine since last evening, with impacts from a ballistic missile and several strike UAVs confirmed at five locations. 

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to the military, from 18:00 on Thursday, November 27, the Russian invaders launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile from temporarily occupied Crimea and 72 drones, including Shahed and Gerbera types, from the directions of the cities of Orel, Bryansk and Millerovo.

Around 50 of the enemy targets were strike drones of the Shahed type.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

As of 09:00 on Friday, confirmed information indicates that air defense shot down or jammed 63 enemy drones in the north, south and east of the country.

Impacts from the ballistic missile and nine strike UAVs were recorded at five locations; in another location, the fall of debris from downed targets was reported.

As Ukrinform reported, in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region, private houses, cars and a gas pipeline were damaged as a result of a drone attack by Russian forces.
