Russian strike on critical infrastructure in Kharkiv region leaves 100,000 consumers without heating
On the night of November 26, the Russian army struck critical infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, leaving over 100,000 consumers in Kharkiv city and the surrounding region without heating.
The head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, stated this during a TV broadcast, Ukrinform reports.
"As a result of the night attack on one of our energy facilities in the region, there is a problem with heating supply in Kharkiv and several settlements in the region, affecting over 100,000 consumers. However, all our services are working to eliminate the consequences of the strike and restore communal services," Synehubov said.
According to him, the water supply situation in Kharkiv is stabilizing, and electricity to communities that had been de-energized during recent attacks has been restored. Planned outages are in effect in the region, he added.
As reported, by midday on November 25, water supply systems in Kharkiv were being gradually restored, reaching 60% of consumers. Meanwhile, available resources are being prioritized for maintaining heating supply.
