About 14,400 civilians remain in active combat zones in Donetsk region
In the Donetsk region, 14,400 civilians remain in areas of active fighting, with no children among them.
Dmytro Petlin, Operational Duty Service, Alerting and Communication of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration stated this at an online briefing.
"About 14,400 people remain in the settlements of communities classified as active combat zones," Petlin said, adding that there are no children in these areas.
According to him, since February 2022, more than 1,316,600 people have been evacuated from settlements in Donetsk under Ukrainian control, including over 201,600 children and 47,300 people with limited mobility.
Over the past week, 900 people left the Donetsk region for safer areas, including 300 children. Currently, 196,800 civilians remain in the territory of Donetsk region under Ukrainian control, the official added.
