Ukrainian forces hold positions in central Pokrovsk amid ongoing small-arms battles – military
Ukrainian forces are conducting search-and-strike operations to eliminate Russian invaders in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
According to Ukrinform, the East Group of Forces published on Facebook an operational update as of 18:00 on November 23.
Ukrainian units operating in the area of responsibility of the East Group of Forces have repelled 86 Russian assaults since midnight.
On the Pokrovsk front, Russian forces attempted 42 times during the day to advance on Ukrainian positions near Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Nykanorivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, Filiia, and in the direction of Novopavlivka.
Search-and-strike operations to eliminate Russian invaders are ongoing in Pokrovsk.
"Our positions in the city center remain held, small-arms battles continue, and the enemy has not been able to secure a foothold," the statement said.
In recent days, clearing operations were conducted near the railway station, the Pokrovsk Pedagogical College, and Sobornyi Square. This blocked Russian attempts to consolidate forces, the East Group of Forces said.
Additionally, a tower of an industrial facility in Pokrovsk was destroyed, where intelligence had identified the presence of machine-gun crews, snipers, and FPV drone operators.
Since the beginning of November, Ukrainian forces have eliminated 388 Russian invaders in Pokrovsk, with another 87 wounded.
