Three evacuations of children from Kupiansk in two months – Syniehubov
The information about 14 children in Kupiansk, provided by the police, concerns the Kupiansk district as a whole, while over the past two months there have been three evacuations of children from the city itself.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, stated this at a briefing on November 21, as reported by Ukrinform’s correspondent.
“The information regarding the 14 children concerned the Kupiansk district [in communities where forced evacuation of families with children was announced and carried out], not the city itself. However, as evacuation measures have shown, we sometimes evacuate people from there as well. Over two months, there were three such cases,” Syniehubov said.
Regarding the operational situation in Kupiansk, according to the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, it remains unchanged.
“The military situation there has not changed; no enemy advance into the city of Kupiansk has been recorded at this time. The situation there is relatively stable. There is no capture or encirclement of the city,” Syniehubov said.
As reported by Ukrinform, on November 19, on the air of Khartia Radio, Viacheslav Markov, assistant to the Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv region, said that 14 children in Kupiansk had previously been evacuated, some of them multiple times.
As of December 1, 2024, it had been reported that all children had been evacuated from the territory of the Kupiansk community.
In September, a six-year-old girl sustained severe injuries in Kupiansk.
