CinC Syrskyi visits Pokrovsk front: Ukrainian forces strike Russian logistics, inflict heavy losses
Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces continue to carry out missions in the Pokrovsk-Myronhrad agglomeration area.
This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on Facebook.
During his working visit to the Pokrovsk sector of the front, Syrskyi held a meeting with the command staff to review the situation and outline further actions for Ukrainian units.
“There remains high enemy activity, which we counter through clear coordination and the coherence of our units’ actions,” Syrskyi noted.
The Commander-in-Chief added that the meeting also reviewed the results of defensive, search-and-strike, and assault operations aimed at stabilizing the situation. Special attention was given to ensuring proper support for Ukrainian troops.
“The main focus is on comprehensive support for our forces. I issued necessary instructions for the priority delivery of additional strike capabilities,” he said.
Syrskyi also emphasized that Ukrainian forces are strengthening their own logistics while simultaneously working to disrupt Russian army supply routes.
“We are working to ensure the continuity of our logistics and are taking measures to disrupt the enemy’s logistical paths,” the Commander-in-Chief stressed.
According to him, over the past four days alone, Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction have suffered 487 casualties, including 350 irrecoverable losses. The “exchange fund” is also being replenished with prisoners of war.
“Thanks to our defenders for their dedication to Ukraine and resilience in the fight against the aggressor,” Syrskyi concluded.
As previously reported, Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne sectors continue to inflict significant losses on the enemy and limit their movement.
