Russians hit two energy facilities in Chernihiv region, leaving several settlements without power

A 54-year-old woman was injured and an agricultural enterprise damaged as a result of Russian drone attacks on Chernihiv region. Two energy infrastructure facilities were hit, leaving part of the region without electricity.

This was reported on Telegram by Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

“Just over the past day, Russians struck Chernihiv region 33 times. Sixty-five explosions. In Koriukivka district, Mena community, two energy infrastructure facilities were hit by UAVs. A fire broke out at one of them,” the report says.

It is noted that several settlements are without power, and specialists are working to restore electricity to households.

As a result of the strike on an agricultural enterprise, a hangar and 40 tons of sunflower pellets caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Chaus added that the injured 54-year-old woman is a gas station employee whose workplace was struck by Russia. She has been hospitalized.

According to the Chernihiv region police on Telegram, yesterday and last night Russian forces carried out drone strikes on settlements in Novhorod-Siverskyi and Koriukivka districts. In Novhorod-Siverskyi, a 54-year-old local woman suffered a concussion as a result of the attack.

In Koriukivka district, an agricultural enterprise was damaged.

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (War Crimes).

As reported earlier, Russian drone attacks in Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernihiv region, damaged private homes and a shop.
