Shmyhal assesses battlefield situation in Vovchansk sector

Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal visited the Kharkiv region and inspected the battlefield near Vovchansk, meeting with combat units holding the line there.

According to Ukrinform, he reported this on Telegram.

"I worked in the Kharkiv region alongside our defenders who are holding the line in the city of Vovchansk. I visited the command post of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kish Otaman Kost Hordiienko. I spoke with the unit's command and listened to detailed reports from the commander regarding the tactical situation in the area of responsibility, as well as the concentration of enemy forces and resources," he noted.

He thanked the personnel for their resilience, courage, and professionalism in repelling numerous Russian attacks.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Joint Forces Group spokesperson Viktor Trehubov noted that Russian occupation forces continued offensive actions near Vovchansk, despite suffering significant losses.
