Ukraine weakens Russia every day with its own long-range weapons – president
Ukraine effectively uses its long-range "sanctions" against Russia every day, achieving clear results in reducing the enemy's capabilities, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He stated this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.
"There was a report from Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal. By the end of the year – in terms of weapons supply and defense production – we must fulfill all the tasks set for supporting the front, financing our army, and carrying out our deep strikes," Zelensky said.
According to him, Ukraine now uses its long-range weapons against Russia almost daily and achieves "clear results in the form of reduced Russian capabilities every day."
"Russia must keep losing, and this is actually a peacemaking tactic," Zelensky said.
Zelensky added that he also held a meeting with government officials and the Presidential Office team regarding the situation in the frontline communities, in such cities as Nikopol, as well as cities in southern Ukraine, the cities of the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, which come under attack virtually every day.
"We are preparing new support measures for our people in frontline and border communities," Zelensky said.
Zelensky said earlier that 90-95% of Ukraine's long-range strikes against the enemy were carried out using domestically produced weapons.
