War update: 125 clashes on front line, one-third of combat engagements are in Pokrovsk sector
Since the beginning of the day, 125 combat clashes have been recorded between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian invaders. Fighting continues on six fronts; the enemy exerts the most pressure on Pokrovsk.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted an update as of 16:00 on Monday, November 10, on Facebook.
The Russian army used mortars and artillery to strike settlements in the Sumy region, including Kucherivka, Zarichne, and Bobylivka, as well as Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region.
Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy fired 68 times at the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas in this section of the front, including twice with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops carried out eight attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, and Kamianka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks in the areas of Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, and Hlushkivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, the invaders twice attacked the positions of the Defense Forces in the Korovii Yar area and toward Lyman. One combat engagement continues.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Russian army made six attempts to advance in the areas of Serebrianka and Dronivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy made ten attempts to break through Ukrainian defense lines in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Rusyne Yar, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, the Russians have made 51 attempts to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Pankivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Mykhailivka, Novoekonomichne, Myrnohrad, Novopavlivka, Rivne, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and Dachne. The defenders are holding back the offensive: 46 enemy attacks have already been repelled. Five combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Oleksandohrad sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped four assaults by Russian troops. One combat engagement is still ongoing. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Ivanivka, Sosnivka, Vorone, Orestopil, and Yehorivka.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled three attacks by the Russian army in the Zelenyi Hai area and toward Rivnopillia.
In the Orikhiv sector, defenders repelled a Russian attack in the Plavni area. Another combat engagement is still ongoing.
The enemy has not yet carried out any offensive operations in the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovske sectors today.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian invaders have become more active on the islands near Kherson.
