Drones for Armed Forces to be purchased through DOT Chain Defence next year – Ministry of Defense
Next year, 70% of drone procurements are planned to be carried out through the digital platform DOT Chain Defence.
First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk stated this, according to the defense ministry, as cited by Ukrinform.
According to him, there are currently more than 500 drone system manufacturers in Ukraine.
The DOT Chain Defence platform allows military units to purchase the specific drone models they need directly from manufacturers. Under these conditions, order fulfillment time averages no more than two weeks. The platform is expected to become an effective tool for preventing corruption risks that may arise amid increased production and the expansion of the range of weapons.
As Ukrinform reported, in October the Ministry of Defense additionally allocated UAH 1.9 billion for the purchase of drones and other equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace.
