Zelensky met with Azov fighters defending Dobropillia direction

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with soldiers at the command post of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov,” which, together with adjacent units, is defending the Dobropillia direction. He discussed the situation on the front lines with the soldiers and presented them with state awards.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky wrote about this on Facebook.

“I listened to reports from the military, discussed the situation on the front line and the most pressing needs, and paid a lot of attention to issues of weapons, scaling up drone production, the needs of the brigades, the experience of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Azov’ and others,” Zelensky said.

The president thanked the soldiers for their service and personally awarded them with state decorations.

"The defenders are serving in an important area. I thank the soldiers for protecting Ukraine and our territorial integrity. This is our country, this is our East, and we will definitely do our utmost to keep it Ukrainian," Zelensky emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, 163 clashes took place on the front line over the past day, with the fiercest battles taking place in the Pokrovsk and Oleksandrivka directions.
