Ukrainian forces push forward near Dobropillia, CinC Syrskyi says

Assault units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces advanced in several areas near the Dobropillia salient over the past day. In total, 188 square kilometers have been liberated since the start of the operation, and 248.7 square kilometers have been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

Syrskyi noted that he continues to work in Donetsk region, particularly in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Commander-in-Chief heard reports from field commanders on the current situation and urgent needs.

The focus was on securing logistics and on the actions of assault groups working to drive Russian invaders out of urban areas.

“We are reinforcing the troops with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including unmanned systems. We are increasing pressure on the Dobropillia salient. We continue liberating and clearing territories, which forces the enemy to disperse their forces and prevents it from concentrating their main efforts near Pokrovsk,” Syrskyi said.

He emphasized that combat operations aimed at destroying Russian invaders are ongoing.

The Commander-in-Chief expressed his gratitude to all servicemen for their resilience, bravery, and professionalism.
